The Center for Islamic Studies at the GTU is pleased to announce that visiting scholar, Carol Bier, will be giving the annual lecture at the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz, California on February 15, 2014 from 1-2pm. The lecture is titled:
Symmetry, Asymmetry, and Symmetry-Breaking in Oriental Carpets
In recognition of Black History Month, Zaytuna College presents a lecture by Professor Fatimah Jackson, a distinguished American Muslim scholar at North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and researcher of African and African American populations, as well as the social and ethical ramifications of genetics.

Robert John Russell and Dr. Ted Peters of the GTU Center for Theology and Natural Sciences will be featured at the 22nd annual Reading of the Sacred Texts. The lecture is set for Monday evening, March 3, in the Dinner Board Room. The reception begins at 6:30, followed by the lecture at 7:00. A book sale and signing follow the lecture.
Join WSR in celebrating Women’s History Month by attending this panel on the history of Women’s Studies at the Graduate Theological Union on Friday March 7th in the Dinner Boardroom from 12-1:30. Panelists will discuss the Center for Women’s Studies as well as our own Women’s Studies in Religion Certificate Program. Panel will be followed by a reception.
