Guest Speaker: Karen Sjoholm, CARE Instructor, Spring 2016

Karen Sjoholm is an artist and arts educator who has served in Bay Area educational institutions for over twenty years. She received her MA in Transformative Arts from John F. Kennedy. Her inter-disciplinary art work is embedded in spirituality, psychology, and culture and has been exhibited extensively. Sjoholm's presentation will explore the book as a receptable for personal and cultural sacred knowledge. A global perspective is emphasized and serves to introduce a wide varity of devotional book forms and materials that have conveyed spiritual expression throughout history.
