Fulbright Scholar Sajjad presents at ACSIS

On April 5, Waqas Sajjad, Fulbright Scholar and GTU Ph.D. student in Cultural and Historical Studies of Religion, presented his paper entitled  “Christians and Muslim Minorities in Pakistan - The Missing Discourse” at the 30th Annual Meeting of the American Council for the Study of Islamic Societies (ACSIS) at Seton Hall University. He joined scholars from all disciplines of the humanities and social sciences. The conference covered topics relating to various Muslim societies, including those in the US, Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco, Australia, and Iran. Sajjad’s academic interest is the Barelvi Deobandi Debates in Pakistan.
