December 29, 2010 - Yolande Adelson, GTU Trustee, died December 29 following a battle with cancer.
A former lawyer, arbitrator, mediator, and higher education administrator, Mrs. Adelson was a vital and strong presence in the GTU community since 2003, working assiduously on behalf of students and to help the GTU address the challenges and opportunities of being a diverse institution.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin, and her daughter, Esther Chambers. Condolences may be sent to the family at 725 Gelston Place, El Cerrito, CA 94530. A Memorial Service is planned for the near future; details will be posted as they become available.
