Congratulations to CIS Visiting Scholar Carol Bier, who served as a consultant for an exhibition on "Symmetry and Islamic Art" at the Hawaii State Library in Honolulu, curated by staff at Doris Duke's home at Shangri La, now a museum of Islamic art. Carol will present public programs in March at both institutions.

CIS is delighted to be a partner in the upcoming 7th annual international Islamophobia conference, as part of the Islamophobia Documentation and Research Project, directed by Dr. Hatem Bazian at the Center for Race and Gender, UC Berkeley.
