Brown Bag Luncheon with the Director of the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey

The GTU President’s and Dean’s Offices invite you to a brown bag luncheon discussion to hear about the work of the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey near Geneva, Switzerland, a program of the World Council of Churches.

The director of the Ecumenical Institute, Professor Dr. Father Ioan Sauca, will present on the future of ecumenical formation and why it is still vitally important in the world today. There will be Q&A session.

About Dr. Sauca: From the Orthodox Church in Romania, Dr. Sauca first joined the World Council of Churches (WCC) as Executive Secretary for Orthodox Studies and Relationship in Mission in 1994. In 1998 he was appointed as the Professor of Missiology and Systematic/Ecumenical Theology at the WCC Ecumenical Institute in Bossey which is attached to the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He has been serving as the Institute’s Director since 2001.
