Fifty years have passed since the promulgation of Nostra Aetate, the Vatican II statement on interreligious relations that shifted the Catholic Church's perception of its relationship with Judaism and the Jewish People. While not all points of tensions have been removed, the relationship is now viewed through a fundamentally positive lens .The gains of the last half century will be highlighted and the remaining challenges will be discussed at this talk.
