Former GTU Trustee Phillip M. Jelley, passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 91. Mr. Jelley served on the GTU Board from 1979-1990 and served as Treasurer for some of that time.
In addition to his time on the GTU Board of Trustees, Mr. Jelley also served on the Board of Trustees of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California for 30 years, including a period as Board Chairman. He was active in the Episcopal Church and participated in many parish, Diocesan and national entities.
A service celebrating Mr. Jelley’s life will be offered on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Orinda, CA.
The family suggests that contributions in Mr. Jelley's memory be made to St. Albans School, Mt. St. Alban, Washington DC 20016 or the Patricia and Philip Jelley Apprenticeship Fund at the Santa Fe Opera, P.O. Box 2408, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87504.
