The Rev. David Edward Green, a valued member of the Graduate Theological Union community who worked in various capacities at the GTU Library between 1963 and 1982, passed away on December 25, 2022.
Fr. Green was a seminarian at Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP) from 1960-1963, and took his first position with the GTU Library as Chief Bibliographer in 1963. He also served as Head of Reference at CDSP and Librarian at San Francisco Theological Seminary before being named Assistant Director at the GTU Library, a position he held until 1982.
After leaving the GTU, Fr. Green moved to New York to become the director of the St. Mark's Library at General Theological Seminary, where he served until his retirement in 2002.
