Shibley Telhami (GTU M.A. ‘78) is the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland-College Park, and is a senior fellow at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution. Telhami has served as advisor to the United States Mission to the United Nations, and has published extensively on foreign policy and Middle Eastern affairs.
On July 24th, 2013, he appeared on the "Charlie Rose" interview program to discuss Secretary of State John Kerry's peace initiative between Israel and Palestine.
