Community Conversation: Campus Vandalism

Tuesday, November 27th 2018, 12:15pm to 1:30pm
PSR Chapel, 1798 Scenic Avenue Berkeley, CA 94709

Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27, as we gather as community to respond to anti-Semitic acts that have occurred in our chapel—both the defacing of our community Bible and the vandalism of one of our bulletin boards. We will gather at 12:15 p.m. in the chapel for a teach-in, community conversation, and ritual to affirm and reclaim our sacred space. PSR president David Vásquez-Levy will be joined by GTU president Rabbi Daniel Lehmann and Seth Brysk, Regional Director of the Central Pacific Region of the Anti-Defamation League. Our regular chapel will be held at 11:10 a.m. and will also include a time of ritual with the community Bible in the midst of our service aimed at "decolonizing sovereignty;" all are welcome to join us for this act of community worship and solidarity as well.

We journey with each other in solidarity, deeply aware of the importance of the work we do to embody and bring about a different vision of the world.
