Koci: Unforgotten

Tuesday, June 25th 2019 to Monday, September 30th 2019

“Frank Koci (1904-1983) highlighted the injustices and hypocrisy in America through his art. Koci’s journals and paintings reflected the alienation and estrangement of mid-century America…During the 1960’s he was a participant and close observer of the art and literature that flavored the Beat Generation’s scene in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood.” — Audrey  Darby

An outside artist, who never signed with a gallery, Koci said, "Art is not a question of infinite harmony with the universe but rather the infinite joy and sadness rising from one's experiences."

Join the GTU for this special exhibition featuring the work of Frank Koci.

Opening Reception June 27, 5-7:00pm, featuring a talk by Koci collector and author, Audrey Darby.
