Justice & Hope: The MLK2021 Virtual Celebration

The 2021 King & Faith Series featured three virtual programs to inspire contemplation of two primary concepts central to Dr. King's message, justice and hope. The King & Faith Colloquy featured NorcalMLK executive director, Aaron Grizzell, hosting two imminent theologians, the Rev. Valerie Miles-Tribble, associate professor of ministerial leadership and practical theology at Berkeley Theological Seminary, and the Rev. Dorsey Odell Blake, sr. minister at the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples and faculty associate for transformative leadership at Pacific School of Religion. The Grace Forum on King & Faith featured the Rt. Rev. Dr. Marc Handley Andrus, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of California, hosting King scholar Clayborne Carson, founding director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research & Education Institute at Stanford University, and Eva Patterson, president and founder of the Equal Justice Society, a national legal organization focused on civil rights and anti-discrimination. The virtual Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Evensong featured voices from faith traditions on justice & hope.
