King and Faith Lectures in SF

Friday, January 15th 2016 to Monday, January 18th 2016
Dr. Valerie Miles-Tribble (ABSW) and Dr. James Noel (SFTS) are among the featured speakers at the King and Faith Lectures, hosted by the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation. This new annual lecture series seeks to engage scholarly, theological, clerical and lay communities in contemporary contemplation of Dr. King, his message, and his symbology, and to ignite greater dialogue and programs of action that will infuse “where we go from here.” Public lectures begin on Saturday morning, January 16, at Creativity Theater in San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens, and events continue through Monday, the 18th. On Sunday, January 17, 3:00 pm, join the Bay region as we celebrate the inaugural MLK Interfaith Evensong at San Francisco’s famed Grace Cathedral atop Nob Hill. All events are free and open to the public.

When: January 16-18
Where: Creativity Center, Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco
