“Frank Koci (1904-1983) highlighted the injustices and hypocrisy in America through his art. Koci’s journals and paintings reflected the alienation and estrangement of mid-century America…During the 1960’s he was a participant and close observer of the art and literature that flavored the Beat Generation’s scene in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood.” — AUDREY DARBY
