Reflections on the SF Opera Omar
The Center for Islamic Studies is delighted to invite you to a community gathering on the SF Opera Omar, on the life of Omar ibn Said, with a panel and community reflections on race, slavery, religion, justice, belonging and aesthetics/arts. Click here for more info on the opera Omar.
The gathering will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 4pm-5:30pm in the GTU Dinner Boardroom, followed by a reception. Featured speakers include: Dr. Dorsey Blake, Nosizwe Breaux-Abdur-Rahman, Jibreel Delgado, Dr. Munir Jiwa, and Paula Thompson.
