What Does it Mean to be Immaterial? Aquinas Lecture

Tuesday, February 13th 2018, 7:30pm to 9:00pm
DSPT, 2301 Vine Street Berkeley, CA 94708

Presented by Therese Scarpelli Cory, PhD, University of Notre Dame.

The philosophical debate about the existence of non-physical or immaterial substances is seemingly endless.  But it is not so easy to say what exactly it would mean for something to be "immaterial."  I propose a concept of immateriality, drawn from Aquinas's philosophy of mind. Light reception to follow. RSVP at www.dspt.edu/aquinas2018
