The GTU is pleased to announce Dr. David Batstone as the 2022 Alum of the Year. Dr. Batstone began his studies at the GTU in 1985, earning his PhD in 1989. He is the Professor Emeritus of the School of Management at the University of San Francisco (USF) and CEO of Blackstone Technologies, an innovative battery technology company using 3D printing technology to create energy-efficient and sustainable lithium-ion battery cells.
BERKELEY, CA – May 23, 2022 – Dr. Rosemary Radford Ruether, former Carpenter Professor of Feminist Theology at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) and Pacific School of Religion (PSR), passed away on May 21, 2022, in Pomona, California. She was 85.
GTU Sustainability 360 Co-Chair and Visiting Professor of Religion & Literature at the Humboldt University of Berlin has organized a one-day international environmental humanities workshop "The Body, Religion, and Planetary Imagination in a Time of Environmental Crisis" featuring a group of international scholars from the environmental humanities, religion & theology, as well as cultural & literary studies, to collectively discuss a set of questions and challenges provoked by our unfolding environmental crisis.
